Brief

To celebrate JFunk’s 21st release, the UK’s leading dance publication, DJ Magazine, released a mix CD of Jason Herd doing what he does best. The CD was to be featured on the cover of their “Top 100 DJs” issue so it required something special. Jason required a cutting edge image that would portrait what he was about musically and stand off the shelf.

Solution

This project called for something a little bit different – we wanted to experiment with the conventional ‘headshot of DJ looking good’ format. The result was an eye-catching cover; a portrait within a portrait, showing Jason surrounded by the tools of his trade.
