Peter Kay’s website had been used in the past to only collect fan data, providing cost-effective promotion for Peter Kay products and events. We were tasked with creating a new site which reflected Peter’s personality, could easily be updated, was engaging and easy to use.
We felt that to really engage with the users, the project would have to match Peter Kay’s character and personality through and through. So we worked very closely with him at every stage of the project, from selecting the right photography to use for the backgrounds, to thinking up and handwriting notes to be scattered around the site. We combined Peter’s creativity with our own, some Flash, and a simple Content Management System.
