The brief for us was to come up with a hard hitting viral campaign that would tap into the emotional sensibilities of a community who were buying stolen goods. Salford wanted to appeal to students in the area who were possibly buying stolen video cameras.
So we produced a gritty short viral that looked homemade. It shows our young demographic in the short film and cuts to a children’s birthday party, an environment where we know video cameras are used a lot. This helped us to communicate the message of losing memories through the act of someone stealing your technology. This was backed up by an equally hard hitting call to action at the end.
