Greater Sport are the organisation that want to make a difference to every man, woman and child in Greater Manchester by working towards national targets of more adults being more active, and encouraging more people to do more sport.
Strategically, the Changing Lives strategy is as high as it gets in their sector in their market, for achieving their aims. The strategy covers work across sport and health with major partners including the National Governing Bodies for Sport, the ten local authorities across Greater Manchester and all the Primary Care Trusts in Greater Manchester.
Laura Hall, Marketing Manager for Greater Sport told us “In reality, if all the Greater Manchester partners get this right, it potentially affects every adult, child and newborn in Greater Manchester in the lead up to and in the aftermath of the Olympics and Paralympics.” No pressure there then!
We wanted to create something that would appeal to all types of people from all walks of life. Using the humble stick man we have created the feeling that sports are accessible and fun for everyone. By using them en-masse we’ve successfully created the feeling of people coming together to achieve something. The day-glo colours make it lively and vibrant.
